LOCAL NATURE
EXPLORE & RESTORE
We believe that the more time you spend experiencing nature, the more likely you are to nurture it. Here are some of our favorite nature spots!

COATES BLUFF NATURE TRAIL
This nature trail is in our very own backyard! The Coates Bluff Nature Trail sits on the outskirts of Caddo Magnet High's property and ends around The Montessori School for Shreveport. This trail is full of historical significance as it was home to Caddo Indians and the first trading post and post office in Northwest Louisiana. Come and check out Coates Bluff!

Field trips aren't always far from campus. Magnet Greens surveys urban heat islands and tree canopy coverage right in Shreveport. Our members map local biodiversity, assess park health, and present data-driven habitat restoration plans to school administrators and parish civic leaders.

EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES
Magnet's Greens Club hosts and organizes a variety of events outside of school every year. Any Magnet High student is welcome to join and we encourage parents and siblings to join as well. At most events, students will receive service hours from volunteering work, signed by our club sponsor Mrs. Dionne Procell-Brown. Come on out to our next service event and do your part for your environment!
